Hawg’s
Pen Cycles Opens Café
Hawg’s Pen Cycles, 1114 NH Route11, Farmington, NH opened it’s
long awaited restaurant on May 28, 2005.
The Café is a full-service restaurant adjacent to The Hawg’s
Pen Cycles shop, that has been in business for twelve years. Owner, Scott
White, designed and built the Café with his fellow motorcycle enthusiasts
in mind. Although geared towards bikers, all are welcome and encouraged
to come by and check it out.
Bike Week 2005 brought in many people from all across the country, who
enjoyed the great food, friendly service, and live entertainment. The
Café is already becoming famous for it’s chargrilled ½
lb. Burgers, fresh cut Steak Tips, homemade Crab Cakes, grilled Gulf Shrimp
and of course it’s Hawg Wings. Frozen drinks and pitchers of beer
are available to go along with dinner. Daily specials are also added to
enhance the menu.
Live bands are playing every Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, either
in the Café, or outside on the patio (where the T-shirt tent is
also located). Inside the Café, there are two pool tables and a
jukebox to play when no live entertainment is available.
Doors open Monday through Friday at 11 am for lunch and dinner. Saturdays
and Sundays, breakfast starts at 9 am. Take-out is always available.
August 7t h(rain date August14th), The Hawg’s Pen Cafe, along with
Sparkeys, in Exeter, is hosting a run to benefit Muscular Dystrophy. The
riders will meet at The Hawg’s Pen Café at 8 am on the 7th
for breakfast. The group from Exeter will be arriving at 10 am and the
run will leave The Café at 11-11:15 am to head up to the Broken
Spoke Saloon in Meredith. After leaving the Spoke, the run will return
to The Hawg’s Pen Café for a raffle, and The Jackie Lee Band
will be the entertainment for the day. MDA is a great charity so please
join us for the run. Our goal is to raise and donate $5000. Anyone interested
can buy tickets in advance from either host, or call the Café at
(603)755-3301 for more information. You can also log onto www.hawgspen.com.
